Three Easy Ways I Super Boost My Lemon Water in the Mornings (p.s The last one will shock you!)

Do you ever feel like you’re behind on the day before it’s even started? Like you’re never going to have any time to slow down or take a second before it's all go. I hate that feeling!

This is why I am such an advocate for lemon water.

Now I know it might seem so simple, kind of boring (let’s be real), and well pointless. But trust me it’s none of those things.

Because lemon water can be that magic little reset for you. It can bring you back to the present moment. It can be a form of self-care (when you’re a mum this counts haha). And it can set you up for a better day because you’re taking just 3 minutes to hydrate, look after yourself and wake up your digestive system. Trust me! I don’t skip a morning.

So know that you’re on board and ready to start adding this simple little morning ritual into your day I’m going to let you in on three little ways that I super-boost my morning lemon water.

Three ways to super boost your lemon water;

1.Add slices of fresh turmeric

Turmeric is a fantastic anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting superfood.

How to: Slice fresh turmeric into strips (with the skin still on) and add to your lemon water. It will turn your water a beautiful golden color as the antioxidants seep into your drink.

2.Add slices of fresh ginger

Ginger is an amazing food to add to your diet in winter, when you're run down, or to help ease digestive discomfort or bloating.

How to: Slice the ginger (with the skin on) just like turmeric and add to your lemon water.

3.Add apple cider vinegar

ACV is one of the best digestive aids, that works to increase your metabolism and balance the acidity in your body.

How to: Simply add a splash to your lemon water or you can take a shot and chase it with your warm lemon water. I prefer to get it out of the way but it’s up to you.

Now I challenge you for the next week to start your morning with a warm mug of lemon water. I know you can do it and you’ll be amazed at the ripple effect that this simple new habit has on your day.
